Cesc In Denial…
Our learned Captain and lets face it, complete legend has denied yet more rumours linking him to a move to Spain. Earlier this week, Spanish papers put a tentative story together made up of rehashed quotes, and out of context comments from Fabregas, saying he’s off to Madrid and that he’s jealous of Ronaldo’s rusty gongs and what not.
But instead of letting things fester, he was quick to justify the comments and end any further summer rumours: “My future is at this great club. I am wholeheartedly committed to Arsenal. I'm not sure how many times I need to talk directly about my commitment to Arsenal as I continue to say the same thing over and over again, but it appears that every time I have spoken to the Spanish media recently, my words have bounced back to England, leaving question marks about my future…"
Finally, in a veiled dig at some lesser respected blogs and websites (not us cos we were too lazy to post owt yesterday) Cesc said: "I care about this club and believe in this team. I am proud to captain this team and proud to wear the shirt. It really upsets me when people express my thoughts otherwise…” Well done The Cesc.
