Seasons Greetings!
The new season is upon us, will it be a Wigan away type season, or will it be an Everton away type style affair which sees us land some silverware for the first time in years? Well, only time will tell, and this first weekend sees us kick off with a nice easy curtain pleaser... at Anfield.

We're starting where we left of with a GLUT of injuries, and when Sir Wenger leads with 'we've got Ramsey to come back in November' you know we're in trouble. The Djourou is out (see what I did there?), Arshavin is fit after his tough summer of putting weight on and slothing it about, the midfield triumverate of Denilson, Song and Diaby are 'short' but could yet feature. Looks like golden boys Jack Wilshere and Georgio Armani Hilfiger Frimpong could even be bossing Steven Gerrard about in the middle...

Sir Wenger will take a view on van Persie and Fabregas and whether they will start or not. You might remember they both played in their countries World Cup campaign, you remember, one match a week or so, in a country with no time difference from England, being looked after in five star accomodation, with all the medical supervision, nutritionists, coaches that they could ever need. No wonder they aren't fit to play 90 minutes of football for the club that pays their wages five weeks later. Fabregas is just back from another brainwashing at the hands of his Spanish team mates, on a vital trip to Mexico for a positively vital friendly...

In slightly better news, its 'unlikely' Fernando Torres (he's half a boy and half a girl) will feature in Sundays' Super SKY Sunday main featurette, which is something...

So the latest is, that Schwarzer wants to come to Arsenal, and Sparky Hughes has said he's not coming as they don't want to sell. End of? I don't think so... Mark Hughes said today: "We have to protect Fulham too. At the moment it wouldn't be right for Fulham football club. He is an outstanding goalkeeper. It's only when you work with players that you realise how good they are. It would be difficult to replace him. It's difficult to get the right quality into your football club. We have a top-class keeper in our squad and we would like to keep him..."
