Watts in a Name...?
Rumours regarding the new stands at the Wengerdrome are unfounded it seems, as the club announced the new side of the ground will be named after our old stands instead of Arsenal legends. We'd heard they were to be named, The Vic Akers Memorial Stand, The Frimpong Kop, The Amaury Bischoff Shelf, and the Sanchez Watt End, but it seems the club saw it fit to name the stands after our old stands at Highbury.

Other plans for the further Arsenalisation of the ground include reinstalling the old clock above the Clock End (for obvious reasons) getting that guy back who used to sell the peanuts, he should be wandering about the place come August. There are also secret plans afoot to replace The Emirates, with a 38,000 all seater stadium and move it over a few yards to try and end our 5 season silverware drought... Full story here (without the lies and made up stuff)...

Crawley 2 - 2 Arsenal...
Rhys Murphy scored a brace (whatever that means) away against Crawley Town XI Reserves B Team last night in a 2-2 draw. Crawley scored early to stun the mighty Gunners into action, and Murphy hit the target straight after the goal, and a bit later, you know, after, like.

There was an equaliser after that in timing terms, until the final whistle parped around 90 minutes after kick off, excluding half time which we won't count... Proper report here...

Coquelin Agrees Deal...
It's been confirmed that Francis Coquelin has joined Laurent Koscielny's old side Lorient for the whole of next season. Not only did he make 12 appearances for the reserves last season, but he also played in the Carling Cup twice, the FA Cup once, and his name sounds like Coq au vin, whats not to love there...?

Xavi 4 Cesc...
So good to see Barcelona, the classy outfit that they are, have given up the ghost on the chase to sig--- whats that? Eh? Xavi has said that Fabregas is 'just on loan' at Arsenal this season, and we are delaying the inevitable by keeping hold of our Captain for another season.

"We were all with him for five weeks in South Africa and we know he wants to be at Barcelona, he made it very clear..." Xavi lied...

Second ATVO Compo...
Just a reminder that we have ANOTHER 6 months of Arsenal TV Online to give away this week.

So, just tell us what Manuel Almunia could find himself doing should Arsene Wenger show him the door... entries into info@arsenalshorts.com once again, funniest by Wednesday afternoon at 4:30pm, wins the prize...

Talking of Twitter, which we weren't, we'd still like a celebrity follower. Can someone get us one, pleeeease!? They don't have to be super famous, just someone off the telly will do.
