Squeaky Brum Time...
Brum 1 - 1 Arsenal. Another game, another weekend of controversy, but unfortunately this weekend, not another three points. In another mud/quagfest, it looked like Samir Nasri had somehow snatched us a point at St. Andrews with 9 minutes left, but then with 3 minutes of injury time up, self-confessed Gooner, Kevin Phillips popped his little peanut head up to net a last gasp equaliser, beating Almunia who could only parry the ball into the ether, and somehow into his own net.
Not being bitter ourselves, but the goal was offside, and we'd missed chances to go 2-0 up just before the goal but our recent luck had ran out, and it wasn't to be this week.
We've given ourselves a Sol's arse sized mountain to climb now if we are going to win the title, with Man United and Chelsea both notching up big wins, we are now hoping both of them will drop points and we can get back to winning ways against Wolves next weekend. Good job we've got no game this midweek... oh what a minute... whats that? EEEEEEK!
Arshavin: Arsenes Anger...
The white Russian, Andrey Arshavin has revealed that Sir Wenger was a bit unhappy at the result on Saturday: "He was very angry and upset just like all of us, everybody is very upset. We were close to another victory. It's a shame that we didn't manage to get it. I think that we were pretty confident for 90 minutes. After we scored, we had some other opportunities that we didn't use. And at the very end, in the 92-minute, Birmingham equalised. That’s all. I have nothing more to say about the game..."
