Arsenal 4-1 Boltan...
With the early team news that Vermaelen had joined the other 70 odd players in the injury shack, I have to confess I wasn't too hopeful of Koscielny and Squillaci dealing with the guilence (guile+violence) of Kevin Davies et al at The Emirates on Saturday. However, I was more than happy to be proved wrong, and come away with all three points, along with what is now the customary injury. Goals from Koscielny(!), Chamakh, Song and Carlos Vela (not a chip, though he almost did) saw us through, with Abu Dhabi being the victim of this weeks horror tackle. Still awaiting firm news of his injury, but he's definitely out of Wednesday nights game against FC Braga, Vermaelen is expected back...
Our fourth goal was as sublime as they come, and with an incredible 2013 passes, it was a thing of beauty worth reliving here...
Premiership round up: Champions League Champions 2010/11 Spurs did well to get a draw at those other European giants, West Brom as they prepare for their first forage into the Champions League proper this week. They now find themselves languishing in the bottom half of the table, no change there then. With Rooney was too scared to play, Man United came from 3-1 up to salvage a draw as they allowed Everton to sneak in and score two injury time goals and Liverpool also dropped points away at Birmingham City on Sky Super Sunday. Chelsea won as usual, but they conceded a goal which is a bonus, the rot has begun...
Pop-vestment on the Cards?
Its been rumoured that Jay-Z could be about to launch some hefty investment in the club we all know and love. Its widely known that Jay-Z is a Gooner, and a big fan of the club, and he's all set to become a member of the board if rumours are to be believed here. You've already had a sneak preview of this hilarious gag on Twitter, but I'll do it again just for you. Its thought that Jay-Z found almost 100 minor flaws with the club, but absolutely loved the playing surface, in fact, heeheh, you could say, he's got 99 problems, but the pitch aint one... you can have that, Shortsers.
Thats you all up to date, Braga next then...
