From Bad to Worse... Fixtures.. Rift...

Arsenal 1-2 Man United...
We fell to our 8th defeat of the season at The Emirates this weekend, when we lost 2-1 to Man United, Robin van Persie getting the only goal for us. The game will sadly be remembered for a controversial substitution by Sir Wenger, and not a decent, encouraging team performance from an injury ravaged side.

Wenger took The Ox off, replacing him with a forlorn and ineffective Andrey Arshavin late on in the game to a chorus of boo's from the Arsenal faithful. The Ox had played well and set up RVPs goal, and we lost all momentum when he was subbed, leaving Wenger as the scapegoat following United's late winner.

Hard to think of the positives at the moment, but with Arteta and Henry back for the weekend, talk of Gibbs back soon, and dates being chatted about for Little Jack, perhaps there's some light at the end of this very, very long tunnel of a season. A seasonal tunnel if you will.

Fixtures Moved...
Sky Sports have announced they are changing some of our fixtures in March. The Liverpool v Arsenal game on Saturday 3rd March 2012 now kicks off at 12.45pm and the Arsenal v Newcastle United game has been moved from the Saturday to Monday 12th March 2012 kick off at 8pm. Cracking.

RVP: No Rift...
There were angry reactions from the crowd to the substitution, but it also looked like our captain wasn't too happy either, looking to mouth the word 'Noooo!'. However, in todays the The Sun, RVP denied there is any issue with le Boss.

He said: "I was not having a go at the boss on Sunday - I was just sad to see Alex leave the pitch as he just gave the assist for our only goal. I was not questioning his judgement - I know it's not my place to challenge what Arsene Wenger does. Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain had a calf injury. We did not know that but the boss did and brought Andrey Arshavin on..."

He added: "The manager and I are fine and my relationship with the club is good. There is no problem, there is no conflict and there is no controversy. The boss knows that, I know that and the players know that..."

Super Early Team News...
Its thought that Mikael Arteta and Thierry Henry (still sounds GREAT) will return to the squad to face Aston Villa in this weekends FA Cup tie. There is also talk of Bacary Sagna and Keiran Gibbs returning soon, and with Jack Wilshere finally on the mend, things could be looking up...
