Togo to Go...?
You can forget your big names, your Shevchenkos, your Del Hornos and your Ronaldos, Sir Wenger has apparently put in a bid for that world famous Emmanuel Adebayor from Monaco according to Sky Sports. His record is 9 goals in 34 games, but the 21-year old told France Football: "Considering what I know, Monaco received two firm transfer offers during the last weeks, one from Toulouse and a later one from Arsenal. For the moment, Monaco are not pursuing it, but I can tell you, it could change if I don't prolong my contract. You can't refuse a club like Arsenal..." The player wants to stay at Monaco, but we'll see what happens... Doesn't he remind you of someone...?

Full fixture list here... and an interesting, albeit (made up word) rather scary story here...

Hobbs Deal Off...?
Lincoln City starlet Jack Hobbs may not now be on his way to Highbury after a clause in his contract could not be agreed by his club and us. Its thought that the sticking point is all about compensation and a sell-on-clause, his agent said: "Lincoln have put a fair package to Arsenal who are unwilling to agree on a particular issue. If Arsenal don't agree to the compensation the move is off. There are already Premiership clubs who are all willing to speak to Jack, so it's not as if he doesn't have any offers..."

Its thought that there are two other big Premiership clubs interested in signing the youngster, Bolton and Spurs to name but one...

Hleb Deal On...?
According to the BBC, we could be starting negotations very soon with Stuttgart to secure the services of Aleksander Hleb. Its thought that we have upped our offer to around £6m after our initial offer of a packet of skips and a wagon wheel was turned down... More here...

Its also been bandied about that we are wiating to see whether Shaun Wright Phillips is coming to us first, but this could be paper/interweb talk...

Lehmann First Choice for Germans...
Jens Lehmann will start for Germany in the semi-final of the Confederations Cup against Brazil. Jurgen Klinsmann has dropped Oliver Kahn, in favour of our number one as part of his crazy German rotation policy, and with Lehman in goal on Saturday, its been decided that should they beat Brazil, Kahn will play in the final... wouldn't hold your breath bug guy...
