Dutch Cap for Ozzy... According to Young Guns, Oğuzhan Özyakup is to captain the Dutch Under 17 team for the European and World Championship qualifiers. Oyakup is the only player in the squad not based in Holland, and said:
“It brings with it a whole new honour. If you’re the captain then you must lead the team and be professional, that’s on and off the pitch. I would love to remain as the captain, but that decision rests with the coach. I am completely focused on my game, and I will play all my matches well - with or without the armband. It’s always great to come back to the Netherlands, playing for my country is very important to me...”

Robert Pires has been talking about his desire to get Sir Wenger at the helm for his country. Pires said: "Arsene Wenger is a gentleman, and his qualities would have a positive effect on the French national side, he is a class act. Of course, as he is Arsenal's manager he is not free right now - but you never know what could happen. If money is made available by the French FA, then anything is possible. They are llike a coiled spring, ready to launch an assault on the Premier League, lying just bottom, slightly behind all the other teams that all have lots more points, but the Fair Play League could be a back door into Europe. Keane Sticks the Boot In...
Roy Keane, ex-man united hooligan, now manager of Sunderland has said Sir Wenger does not deserve the praise he recieves for bringing young players through the ranks. Following last weekends 1-1 between the two clubs, Keane said:
"The word on the street is they (Arsenal) have a group of kids coming through that will be absolutely outstanding, but you go on about the kids coming through but a lot of them have been bought from other clubs, not through the academy at Arsenal. It's the same with Chelsea..."
Rooney on Walcott... man united's Wane Rooney has been talking about our very own little Theo ahead of Englands double header with Kazakhstan and er... someone else. "Theo has made a big difference to us," said Rooney. "He is probably the quickest player I have ever seen and has brought us something different. I am glad he has finally been given the chance to play in some big games. He came with us to the World Cup and everyone thought he was going to play more than he has done. We had already seen what he can do on the training pitch, now he has produced it in a match. Long may that continue..."
